Attractions and Things to Do in Marco Island Florida
Marco Island has kept a lot of
its natural beauty and is home to several species of birds and
plants. Birdwatchers will enjoy spotting the American Bald Eagle.
One of the major attractions in the area is the Everglades.
This natural region encompasses
birds, plants and endangered and threatened animal species and
there are several ways to view them.
Depending on where you go, you
can choose from canoe or kayak trips, boat trips or hikes through
the sawgrass marshes and cypress swamps.
As well as the Everglades National
Park itself, you can visit the Big Cypress National Preserve
and the Picayune Strand State Forest.
Donít miss out on the
beaches when you visit Marco Island. Residents Beach, Tiger Tail
Beach and South Beach have beautiful white sand and great views
of the Gulf of Mexico.
Tigertail Beach includes a childrenís
play area, volleyball court and water sports, while residents
of the area can choose from Residentís Beach or South

attractions around Naples such as the Florida Panther National
Wildlife Range and the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, where you can
see alligators, cottonmouths and more.
Take a cruise on a catamaran
or go fishing instead. Naples also says it's the golf capital
of the world with the most holes per head anywhere, so golfers
will enjoy playing a round in this wonderful climate. Back on
the island, round out your day by collecting shells when the
tide is right.
