Attractions and Things to Do in Palm Beach Florida
Salsa lovers will find plenty
to see in West Palm Beach. The tropical, Caribbean climate makes
it a great place for outdoor attractions, so you can while away
the hours while waiting for the start of your Latin theme party,
Cuban theme party, or Latin dance show.
Palm Beach Zoo is probably the
most fun you'll have when not salsa dancing. There are animals
from around the world, including tigers, tapirs, monkeys, bats,
muntjacs, snakes, turtles and much more.
There are 23 acres to explore,
with trails, rainforests and interactive play areas for young
and old.
Before they head off for an evening's
entertainment featuring salsa dancers, Cuban music, Latin music
or bands, salsa lovers will enjoy cooling down at Rapids Water
Park, which has 22 acres of thrilling attractions, including
Big Thunder, the largest water ride in Florida.
You will reach speeds of 20 miles
an hour, so hold on tight! The Body Blaster ride is 1,000 feet
of thrills and spills ñ and it's all in the dark. Your
heart will race as you whiz along the curves and drops. When
that's over, you can calm down by floating along the Lazy River.
West Palm Beach is also home
to lots of museums where you can see various aspects of history
and art. Check out the Flagler Museum, Cornell Museum and Lighthouse
Center for the Arts.
The South Florida Science Museum
also has a number of exciting exhibits. Once you've finished
the tour, don't forget to get out on the course. You have access
to some of the best courses anywhere in West Palm Beach, so don't
miss your chance to take a swing.
